Freudenberg-NOK is seeking a Sales Director Renewable Energy for their Elgin, IL location.

Freudenberg-NOK is the Americas joint venture partnership between Freudenberg & Co. in Germany and NOK Corp. in Japan. Responsibilities:
Manage the sales and applications engineering activities within the Renewable Energy market segment for Simrit Americas (North and South America). Renewable energy is defined as power derived from wind, solar, tidal, and nuclear methods. This market segment also includes electrical transmission and distribution (T&D) customers. The successful candidate will be responsible for achieving strategic development, divisional sales objectives, staffing, associate development, department budget and sales activities required to support achievement of short and long term strategic objectives and customer satisfaction issues. Primary annual objectives are defined in the annual operating plan.

  • Manage the specific customer or market segment commercial staff to meet Corporate and Division objectives such as sales target, profitability, budget, and account strategy.
  • Develop and meet staff requirements such as budgets, hiring, training and career development
  • Develop with lead centers and global counterparts commercial strategy tactics and direct activity to meet growth targets, customer needs identification and coordinate support department activities meeting the customer satisfaction expectations. This includes helping to resolve issues that prevent the staff from completing job functions
  • Oversee commercial activity for business development, pricing, negotiation of contract terms and commercial issue resolution
  • Foster global activity by jointly developing commercial strategies, tactics, and communication channels for global customers
  • Oversee technical data gathering to provide inputs to help define technology needs for design engineering and material lab to establish development activities to anticipate and meet customer needs
  • Oversee development of market segment or customer specific and commercial lead center strategies to increase market share and profitability
  • Coordinate department activities with Sales, Marketing and Applications Engineering to foster a cohesive divisional account strategy
  • Identify opportunities and implement changes targeting continous improvement in department functions, systems and processes
  • Oversee development of annual operating plan (update as necessary) and maintain log of new business opportunities and targets
  • Establish management level contacts with key accounts
  • Travel requirement: 50
  • 75%

Qualifications:

  • BS/BA degree required; MBA preferred
  • 8 to 10 years of progressively responsible applications engineering, marketing and/or sales experience within the renewable energy industry. Cross-functional background is a plus
  • Good oral and written communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate to all levels in the organization
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Must have the ability to manage multiple projects at once
  • High degree of self motivation
  • Creative problem resolution skills
  • Strong ability to identify needs, develop action plans and close activities
  • Effective management/leadership of staff is key element of this position

    Aernnova Engineering US, Inc. is seeking a renewable energy manager. Position will provide the overall onsite leadership and management of one or more renewable energy projects from bid preparation through final acceptance by the client.

    Position accountabilities include:
    1) Identification of new projects and development opportunities
    2) Establish relationships with local and State administrative agencies
    3) Responsible for the monitoring and control of renewable energy projects
    4) Responsible for the development of initial sales, client proposals and project estimates

    Required Qualifications:

    Wisconsin Climate Change Action Initiative, Inc. is seeking an Executive Director.

    POSITION OVERVIEW

    Because the Climate Initiative has just been launched, the Executive Director will play a key role in establishing the organization, defining its mission and priorities. He/she will report to the Board of Directors and will be responsible for overall leadership, direction and general management of the organization. He/she will have primary responsibility for working with the Board to develop a strategic plan for the organization. Once the plan is approved, the Executive Director will be responsible for designing and implementing a business plan, developing and delivering programs and directing day-to-day operations, with the objective of establishing a solid foundation for outstanding performance and success in meeting the mission of the organization. The performance of the Executive Director will be measured on the basis of meeting the objectives and establishing a reputation of excellence for the organization in all of its operations and activities.

    KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
    The primary responsibilities for the Executive Director include:

  • Responsible for overall management of the Climate Initiative to achieve its mission effectively and efficiently.
  • Assist the Board in specifically defining the mission, vision and strategic objectives of the Climate Initiative and establishing priorities.
  • Develop a three-year business plan for the Board�s review and approval to meet the organization�s mission, to establish staff�s responsibilities and provide accountability.
  • Develop and deliver specific programs, in an orderly fashion, consistent with the business plan.
  • Develop a financial strategy for the organization that will include a plan for increasing the revenues of the Climate Initiative through donations from foundations, corporations, individuals and others. This plan should include specific goals and an outreach effort that involves the Board of Directors directly in fundraising.
  • Reach out to other organizations in Wisconsin and nationally that are engaged in related activities in order to develop relationships and enable the organization to leverage its activities through close coordination with others rather than duplication.
  • Communicate clearly and effectively with political, business and community leaders in Wisconsin on the mission of the Climate Initiative and its programs, and develop a public communication strategy.
  • Develop and implement a staffing, outsourcing and contracting plan for program implementation.
  • Work with the Finance Committee, establish and implement strong financial policies and procedures to protect the assets of the organization, provide transparency, and enable effective Board oversight.
  • Draft and propose the administrative and general policies of the organization for Board approval.
  • Develop a program and messaging strategy to establish the public image of the Climate Initiative, including an excellent website that will be a resource for the program activities.
  • Develop an effective system for benchmarking and evaluation of the programs and activities of the organization.
  • Together with the Board President, develop procedures to enable effective Board meetings that focus on priorities and policy, and make good use of Board member expertise.
  • Support the activities of Board-established committees.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    The ideal candidate for this position is an experienced and visionary professional with a passion for the environment that includes helping Wisconsin significantly reduce greenhouse gas emissions. The successful candidate will be a person of integrity and stature in the community with proven leadership experience, exemplary business and/or nonprofit management skills, and a strong commitment to collaboration with other climate change initiatives. Fundraising, community relations and partnerships, and board development are all key components of this challenging role. Other essential skills and experience include:

  • Demonstrated ability to lead, inspire and motivate, and ability to provide and portray a sense of vision for the Climate Initiative to its stakeholders.
  • A track record of building strong, mutually beneficial relationships and achieving results through empowering people.
  • A broad understanding of issues related to climate change, a strong commitment to helping individuals and businesses reduce greenhouse gas emissions, and knowledge of the significant challenges of achieving behavioral change.
  • Successful experience in developing and executing strategic and business plans.
  • Experience working effectively with a broad range of external constituents including individuals, businesses, local governments, foundations and community programs.
  • Significant project management experience in areas related to the mission and anticipated programs. Since the organization is not likely to have many employees in the early years, strong experience in contract negotiation, developing requests for proposals and contract administration will be important.
  • Successful experience working with a diverse Board of Directors.
  • Substantial experience with demonstrated success in fundraising from a variety of donor types.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills. The individual should be comfortable in presenting to the public and discussing issues with political, business and community leaders.
  • Strong facilitation skills - a proven record of working in coordination and partnership with other organizations to achieve mutual objectives.

    Ramsey County is seeking applicants for a Planning Specialist--Energy and Sustainability Coordinator.

    This is a one-year position that is funded by the Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant (EECBG) provided to Ramsey County by the Federal Government out of ARRA funds. It is possible that this position could continue beyond one year.

    The person in this position will work with Public Health and Property Management staff to help plan, organize, guide and coordinate the County's efforts to create an internal County energy/sustainability plan, with an aim to implement sustainable and energy-related practices within the organization, including addressing current methods and practices that could be made more sustainable, researching new and emerging technology and sustainability practices, educating the organization regarding sustainable practices and developing and implementing sustainability goals and strategies. This is professional and administrative work to identify, develop, implement and coordinate innovative and effective programs to improve sustainability and reduce energy consumption and greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions from County operations, and related duties as assigned.
