This is a FREE public program about renewable energy technologies for your home or business. The MREA invites you to a short two hour session to get an overview of solar electric, solar hot water, and wind systems. Milwaukee Solar Tour
See what makes Milwaukee Shine! The Milwaukee Solar Tour features a four-hour guided bus tour of area homes. Talk with installers and home owners about their experiences living with solar. Get basic information on technologies, financing resources, and details on Milwaukee's solar program, Milwaukee Shines.
Milwaukee Solar Tour bus tour costs $15 per ticket, and runs from 9 am - 1 pm. It will feature three sites in the Milwaukee area. Register and get details HERE or call 414-431-0758.

SEMINARS FOR HOME AND BUSINESS OWNERS
Through a partnership with We Energies, the MREA is able to offer low-cost, seminars for consumers to learn about the basics of renewable energy systems. The three hour seminar includes handouts,lecture, and a question and answer period. There are no prerequisites. Cost is $15. Pre-registration is recommended. Get details and register online HERE

The MREA is bringing renewable energy to southeast Wisconsin! Take advantage of some of the upcoming renewable energy workshops in Milwaukee for homeowners and professionals.
Milwaukee Fire Station SHW Install
MREA is offering this one of a kind hands-on installation course as part of the City of Milwaukee’s Solar America City Program, Milwaukee Shines. Thanks to a partnership between Milwaukee Shines, MREA and Caleffi, students can help bring solar hot water to a Milwaukee firehouse, and get specialized training at the same time. Questions? - SW 310.02 SW Fire Station Install: October 4-8
- SW 310.03 SW Fire Station Install: October 25-29
Layton Blvd West Neighborhood SHW Install
Don't miss this opportunity to get hands-on solar hot water installation experience! Sign up for MREA SW 305.01 Solar Hot Water Installation, a three day class scheduled for August 17-19. Students will install a roof-mounted solar hot water system for a residential home. The home has been remodeled by the Layton Blvd West Neighbors non-profit group, and will showcase an energy efficient retrofit and a solar hot water system. Questions? Email or call 414-431-0758.
Solar for Humanity: Lead Installer Training
As a special project with Habitat for Humanity and WE Energies, MREA is conducting a number of "Lead Installer" trainings throughout southeast Wisconsin. The workshop is reserved for advanced students, and there is an application and review process prior to registration. Each student will get credit for that lead installation towards both NABCEP Installer Certification and Focus on Energy’s Full Service Installer list.
