MREA is a national leader in providing high quality education and training programs for consumers, businesses, and renewable energy system installers. For more than 18 years we have offered workshops, seminars, and conferences that demonstrate that renewable energy is practical, reliable, and ready for mainstream use.When you attend a MREA training you will:

MREA Workshop Offerings:
MREA offers workshops that cover a variety of topics in renewable energy.Come learn from experts in the field about subjects including:
- Photovoltaics or PV (solar electric)
- Residential Wind systems
- Solar Domestic Hot Water/Solar Thermal Systems
- Site Assessor Training & Certification
- Installer Training
- Renewable Energy Business
- Alternative Construction
Progression of Knowledge:
The Midwest Renewable Energy Association offers a variety of courses at various levels. They are organized similar to college level courses and are designed to ensure that course participants have adequate background in the basics to advance to more technical courses. Here’s what you can expect at the different levels:- 100 Level Courses provide an overview of the basics of technologies and applications
- 200 Level Courses cover specifics of techniques and components – lecture and hands-on training.
- 300 Level Courses include a hands-on installation of a system, with some lecture.
- 400 Level Courses are for people with a lot of experience who have a high skill level. This advanced specialized learning combines lecture and hands-on training.
MREA Enrollment Information:
- Courses are open to all on a first-come first served basis. Class size is limited to provide the highest quality educational experience for all participants.
- MREA workshops are conducted throughout Wisconsin and the Midwest. They range in duration from 1/2 day introductory courses, intensive weekends to 7 day hands-on knuckle bustin' installation workshops.
